Meeting Needs Based on Your Gifts, Skills, and Interests.
Below are the types of needs you can sign up to be notified about.
Financial Givers
Financial needs that directly help members of our congregation or community.
Moving Neighbors
Needs related to moving. Those needs could include packing, loading trucks, allowing the use of personal trucks or trailers, and heavy lifting, such as moving furniture.
Home Maintenance
General home maintenance, such as caulking sinks or counters, flushing a hot water heater tank, lawn or yard chores, cleaning out gutters, cleaning lint from the dryer vent, changing light bulbs, changing AC filters, or changing batteries in smoke alarms.
Household Heroes
Those who would like to be notified of any needs related to household skills, such as grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning, child care, hairstyling, sewing, first aid, home organization, etc.
Time & Attention
Needs centered around acts of kindness. Volunteering at a nursing home, mentoring others, sitting with someone who is grieving, caring for people with disabilities, taking someone to a doctor's appointment, encouraging the lonely to get involved with fun activities, listening to someone who needs to talk, writing letters of encouragement, and any other benevolence needs not related to financial giving.
Trade Skills
Needs related to specialty skills such as electrical, plumbing, auto mechanics, carpentry, HVAC, welding, heavy equipment operation, flooring, masonry, bus driving, Internet technologies, framing, home inspection, contracting, and painting.
Mind & Soul
People who want to be notified of needs related to the mind and soul. This might include the need for someone who is licensed in therapy/counseling, needs that would benefit from a licensed nurse or doctor, or a licensed financial counselor. A need for support from someone who has overcome an addiction, has experience managing their PTSD symptoms, or someone who can work with students who have IEPs or adults with developmental disabilities, etc.
